Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the Stepney app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. About Stepney

Stepney is a free platform that connects drivers in need of roadside assistance with nearby technicians. Stepney does not itself provide any roadside services — we are a technology platform that facilitates connections between users and independent technicians.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must not misuse the platform — including making false requests or harassing technicians.
• You must be 18 years or older to use Stepney.

4. Technician Conduct

Technicians on the Stepney platform are independent service providers. Stepney does not employ technicians and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of any service provided. Technicians agree to treat users with respect and provide services honestly.

5. Free Service

Stepney is free for drivers. Technicians may charge for their services — any payment is directly between the driver and the technician. Stepney does not take any commission or fee from either party.

6. Limitation of Liability

Stepney provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of the platform or services provided by technicians.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Deletion is permanent and removes all your data from our systems.

8. Cricket Predictor Contest

Stepney may run free-to-enter prediction contests ("Contest") on its website. Participation in any Contest is subject to the specific Contest Rules published for that Contest, which form part of these Terms. Key points:

• Contests are free to enter — no purchase or payment is required.
• Contests are skill-based. The winner is determined by the most correct predictions.
• Stepney is not affiliated with BCCI, IPL, or any cricket board.
• Contests are not available to residents of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Nagaland, and Odisha.
• Stepney reserves the right to modify or cancel any Contest at any time.

9. Referral Program

Stepney may offer a referral program that allows users to earn wallet credits by inviting others to join the app. The following terms apply:

• Your referral code is your registered 10-digit phone number.
• When a new user joins using your referral code, both you and the new user receive ₹10 each as wallet credit — instantly upon joining.
• A referral code can only be applied once, at the time of account creation. It cannot be added later.
• Users cannot refer themselves. Using your own number as a referral code is not permitted.
• Wallet credits can be redeemed as cash to your UPI account via WhatsApp, provided your balance is ₹50 or above.
• Stepney reserves the right to withhold or reverse credits if fraudulent activity or abuse is detected.
• The referral program is a limited-time offer and may be modified or discontinued at any time without prior notice.
• Current offer valid until 20 May 2026. Stepney may extend or end the offer at its discretion.
• Referral credits are loyalty rewards issued at Stepney's sole discretion. They are not cash, deposits, prepaid payment instruments, or financial products of any kind. Stepney is not a payment aggregator or wallet service provider.
• Redemption of referral credits is a manual, discretionary process facilitated via WhatsApp. Stepney reserves the right to refuse or delay redemption if any fraudulent, suspicious, or abusive activity is identified.
• Stepney is not liable for any tax obligations arising from referral credits received by users. Users are solely responsible for declaring and paying any applicable taxes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala, India.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
